Dua lipa is a English singer and musician born on 22nd August 1995 at London United Kingdom. In 2014, after working as a model and actress, she was signed to Warner Bros Records. She launched her self-titled debut album in the year 2017. It reached the number three spot at the top of the U.K. charts for albums and featured eight singles which included the U.K. top ten hit song New Rules and Be the One I.D.G.A.F. Lipa was awarded the Brit Award in 2018 as British Female Soloist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. The album has been certified platinum across a variety of countries. Future Nostalgia's second studio album came out in 2020. Help her celebrate here. Dua Lipa was born on the 22nd of August, 1995 in London to Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. Through her maternal grandmother, she is of Bosnian descent. Her ancestry can be traced back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. The grandparents of Lipa's grandfathers were both history professors. She is the sister of Rina Lipa, and has an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was taught to play guitar as well as sing under the guidance of her father Oda. He is the leader singer/guitarist for Kosovan's band Oda. Her musical influences were derived from her father's music, which included his compositions as well as songs by artists like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began to sing when she was only 5 years old. When she was in her 9th year she was singing in Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa sang in the song If I'm Not gone You by Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. The year 2014 was the year that Lipa has signed a deal to Warner Bros. Records. Her debut song New Love was released on August 15, 2015.
